Former UFC heavyweight Aleksei Oleinik explained in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net why he decided to participate in Bare Knuckle FC in early April.
Aleksei Oleinik exclusively for Telecom Asia Sport
My fight in GFL has been rescheduled to June, two months later. So I thought that one event wouldn’t interfere with the other, and I would have a bare-knuckle fight in April.
Recall that on April 4, at the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in Dubai, Oleinik will face Geronimo dos Santos, also known as "Mondragon." This will mark Oleinik's debut in bare-knuckle fighting. His MMA record has 61 wins, 18 losses, and 1 draw.
