Pereira brings the belt to his native tribe in Brazil

Brazilian reigning UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira posted a photo on social media showing him bringing his championship belt to his native tribe.

Pereira's family belongs to the Pataxó tribe of Brazil.

Pereira had his last fight against New Zealander Israel Adesanya this November at UFC 281. Alex won that fight by TKO in the fifth round.

In July of this year, Pereira was in the octagon against American Sean Strickland at UFC 276. That fight ended in favor of Alex by knockout in the first round. He has seven wins and one loss in mixed martial arts under his belt.
