Sandhagen Believes That O’Malley Would Have More Losses If He Fought Only the Best

UFC American bantamweight fighter Cory Sandhagen spoke about how he feels about former division champion Sean O'Malley, who will rematch Merab Dvalishvili on June 8 at UFC 316.

Cory Sandhagen on the Overdogs podcast
When me and O'Malley fight, I'll get to show that I'm a lot better than him. I fought the best guys for a really long time. And O'Malley's not really one of those guys that gets to say he's fought all of the best of the best of the division. I think that when he does that, he's gonna have off nights and he's gonna lose. I sometimes have off nights, and I've lost. That's just how fighting works.

Recall, the first fight of O'Malley and Dvalishvili, which took place in September 2024 at UFC 306, ended with Merab winning by unanimous decision. He has 19 wins and four losses on his name. Sean has 18 wins and two losses. One fight was ruled as a no contest.
