Former UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira announced his career end following his loss to American Jamahal Hill at UFC 283.
It was a title fight for the vacant belt of the division. After the fight, which lasted five rounds, all judges gave the victory to Hill by unanimous decision.
Teixeira had been fighting in professional MMA since 2022. He has 33 wins and nine losses under his belt.
Previously, Teixeira, 43, lost to Jiří Procházka by fifth-round choking submission at UFC 275. The bout was also for the promotion's light heavyweight title.
