In November 2022, Pereira had a title fight against Israel Adesanya. Alex then won by TKO in the fifth round and won the UFC middleweight championship belt.
Prior to that, in July, 2022, he fought against Sean Strickland at UFC 276. In this fight, Alex won by TKO in the first round. He has seven wins and one loss under his belt.
