Top UFC heavyweight American Derrick Lewis was forced to withdraw from the UFC Vegas 65 tournament just hours before his fight against Moldovan fighter Sergey Spivak.

Jeff Davidson, a physician working with the UFC, said Lewis had stomach problems and was hospitalized. After undergoing a medical examination, the fighter was released from the hospital.

It's currently unknown if the fight between Lewis and Spivak will be rescheduled.

Lewis, 37, lost to Sergey Pavlovich by TKO in the first round at UFC 277 in July, 2022. He has 26 wins and 10 losses under his belt.
