Rico Verhoeven, the Glory heavyweight champion, announced that he has resumed talks regarding a potential series of fights with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
Rico Verhoeven in an interview with Ariel Helwani
The ultimate challenge. One opponent, three fights, three disciplines: MMA, boxing, and kickboxing. We got the right opponent ... We gotta find the right organization, the right person to organize it and make it happen. Glory’s interested. [PFL], I think so. And Saudi’s interested.
Verhoeven last fought in June 2025 at Glory 100, where he won against Artem Vakhitov by unanimous decision. He boasts a kickboxing record of 66 wins (21 by knockout) and ten losses.
Ngannou last fought against Renan Ferreira in October 2024 at the PFL Super Fights – Battle of the Giants event. Francis won that match in the first round by knockout. He holds a mixed martial arts record of 18 wins and three losses.
