UFC president Dana White confirmed that undefeated fighter Khamzat Chimaev will fight at middleweight in the promotion, and his opponent would be a fighter from the top-3 division.

Yes, he will fight at middleweight. And there's no doubt that Khamzat is now in a position where he has to face one of the top three guys in the world.
Chimaev last fought against American Kevin Holland in September 2022 at UFC 279. That fight, which was stopped in the first round, ended in Khamzat's favor by a choking submission. He has 12 wins and no losses under his belt.
