Russian UFC fighter Muslim Salikhov shared his expectations for the upcoming fight between his fellow countryman Islam Makhachev and the American Beneil Dariush with MMA.Metaratings.ru.
I believe Islam will win the fight. He's on the rise right now. He's fighting very cool. I thought at least Hooker would show some resistance, but Islam just declassified him. That's why I think Islam is going to win, but Dariush is also a very tough opponent. It won't be easy.
The fight between Islam Makhachev and Beneil Dariush is scheduled for February 26, 2022, at the UFC Fight Night tournament, to be held in Las Vegas (USA).
Dariush had his last fight against his fellow countryman Tony Ferguson last May at UFC 262. In this fight, Beneil won by the unanimous decision of the judges. He has 21 wins, four losses, and one draw.
Makhachev appeared in the octagon against the New Zealander Dan Hooker in late October at UFC 267. That fight ended in favor of the Russian with a first-round submission. He has 21 wins and one loss.
