Greek Maria Sakkari and Kazakh Elena Rybakina both won their games and reached the Quarter-Finals. Maria beat Latvian Jelena Ostapenko 6-4, 6-2. Maria had a whopping 87% First Serve win while Jelena just had 53% compared to her. Sakkari lodged 31 receiving points compared to just 7 by Jelena.
Meanwhile, Elena Rybakina overcame Polish Magda Linette 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. Elena won 11 aces and won five out of eight breakpoints. Rybakina will face Poland’s Iga Swiatek in the Quarter-Finals.
