
Legendary Norwegian biathlete Ole Einar Bjørndalen, an eight-time Olympic champion and 20-time world champion, commented on the decision made by Tarjei and Johannes Boe to retire after the current season.

I was surprised by the Boe brothers. I thought both would continue their careers for at least another year. But I completely understand them. They have families, and they have come a long way in their sport. Of course, I will miss these incredible biathletes who are the best in their field
Tarjei Boe is a three-time Olympic champion in relays and a three-time Olympic medalist. He is also an 11-time world champion, nine times of which – in relays and two in individual events.
Johannes Boe is a 20-time world champion, a five-time overall World Cup winner. Besides, he has won nine Olympic medals, including five golds.
