Famous Serbian tennis player and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic made a brief statement about the large-scale protests taking place in Belgrade.

History! Magnificent.

On Saturday, March 15, thousands of demonstrators filled Slavija Square and the area in front of the parliament building in central Belgrade. Their main demand is to hold accountable those responsible for the collapse of a structure at the Novi Sad train station in November 2024, a tragedy that claimed 15 lives. Reports indicate that over 100,000 citizens participated in the protests.

Djokovic's next competition will be the Masters tournament in Miami, set to take place from March 18 to 29.
