Cybersports organization ESL announced an update to the rules of the IEM Rio Major 2022 on its social networking accounts. The company said that a team will be disqualified if two players from the team fall ill at the championship.

ESL officials
We understand that this decision essentially means a disqualification in case of a mass illness within the team. We have examined this issue and found that playing in a hotel offers some advantages over playing on stage. All the players should play on stage in the IEM Rio Major 2022 for the sake of maximum integrity of the tournament.

We should remind, the major will be held from October 31 to November 13. The tournament will be held in Brazil. Twenty-four teams will draw a prize fund of $ 1 million 250 thousand.
