Head of IOC Bach says that French President Macron wants to see all countries at the 2024 Olympics in Paris

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach commented on French President Emmanuel Macron's position on the lineup for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

President Macron said that sports should not be politicized, and emphasized with regard to the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics that representatives from all countries should participate, including those that are at war.

The Olympics in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

February 28, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended the federations to suspend Russian and Belarusian athletes from participation in all international competitions. Earlier the IOC also urged the federations to cancel or postpone international tournaments, which were to be held in Russia or Belarus. On December 7, IOC President Thomas Bach announced the extension of sanctions against athletes from Russia.
