Head of IOC Thomas Bach tested positive for coronavirus

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach tested positive for coronavirus infection, Inside The Games reported.

According to the source, Bach was scheduled to attend the Global Association of International Sports Federations forum in Lausanne. The functionary will also reportedly give an online speech at the event.

Bach has been head of the committee since 2013. His term of presidency expires in 2025.

February 28, the IOC recommended the federation to suspend Russian and Belarusian athletes from participation in all international competitions. Previously, the IOC also called on the federations to cancel or postpone international tournaments to be held in Russia or Belarus.
