Premier League begins in full flourish as Pogba creates history

Premier League football has returned and it has brought in some record breaking performances within the first few days. This also marked the first time since the pandemic that stadiums opened to full capacity crowds. Manchester United start their campaign with a flurry as the team beats Leeds United 5-1 behind a hattrick by the Portuguese sensation Bruno Fernandes. Paul Pogba, the French midfielder tucked in 4 assists and also created a franchise-high record with his electric passing. The score remained tied around the 53 minutes mark for Manchester United as Fernando and Greenwood scored two goals within 7 minutes and Man Utd took control of the game.

In other fixtures, Everton has started in a premium manner as they beat Southampton 3-1. Southampton was up by one goal till the halftime as Everton pegged them with the first goal just two minutes into the second half as Richarlison hit the equalizer and then Everton hit two more goals till the eighty-first minute mark. Richarlison also made the assist when Calvert-Lewin nailed the third goal by hitting a diving header. In other news, Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 3-0, Leicester City prevails over Wolverhampton 1-0, Liverpool begin with a resounding 3-0 win over Norwich, Watford snatches a win against Aston Villa in Premier League return winning 3-2 while Brighton overcomes Burnley 2-1 as EPL witnesses 25 goals during the day.
