During an event, many protesters raided the Beijing Torch Light kept in Greece’s ancient Olympia. The protesters called for the boycott of the Winter Olympics and Paralympics due to the alleged genocide of Uyghurs taking place in China. Both the protesters inside and outside of Olympia got nabbed by the police.
Many human group rights have expressed their opposition to the games because of China’s alleged poor human rights record. The Winter Olympics and Paralympics will be held from February to March in 2022, in China’s capital city, Beijing.
