Rachael Haynes ruled out of Test and T20s

Australia has received some dampening news today as their premier opener Rachael has been ruled out from the One-off Pink Ball Test and the T20s against India. Haynes has been a regular batter for the Australian team since 2009 and the veteran batter is known for her terrific body balance and elegant strokeplay. Rachael has compiled 293 runs in the nine Test innings so far at an average of 32.55. Her record also includes two Test half-centuries.

Matthew Mott, Australia women’s cricket head coach
Rachael Haynes, unfortunately, the hamstring is no good It was pretty tough last night. I had dinner with her last night. She's devastated, obviously, these Test matches don't come around too often. She's a key member of our squad. Our thoughts are with her at the moment.
