Rugby: Alun Wyn Jones set to miss Six Nations for Wales

In a big blow to Wales’ Six Nations campaign, Alun Wyn Jones has been sidelined for the Six Nations Cup set to be held in 2022. Jones picked up a shoulder injury during the loss against New Zealand and will have to undergo surgery now. Alun plays the Lock position for Wales and is the highest-capped Rugby Union player, representing Wales in 149 and the British & Irish Lions in 12 games.

Wayne Pivac, Head Coach, Wales Rugby
I don't think he'll be available for the Six Nations. You learn a lot about the worth of people when they're not there. I think a lot of people take Alun Wyn for granted - he's always been there and got seniority. That leadership is really important. The essence is on others to step up and take that role on.
