Russian Grand Prix: Lando Norris claims pole position

After a rain-laden day, the Sochi racing track dried out towards the end and it made for a fun-filled racing event. In the Qualifying race, Lando Norris lodged a time of 01 hours 41.993 minutes to secure pole position while Carlos Sainz Jr. took second place 0.517 short of Norris’ time. George Russell came in third falling 0.990 short of Lando Norris.

Lewis Hamilton fell to the fourth spot after an error in the closing minutes. With the race heading into dying moments, the track dried out and Hamilton went to the pits to change from intermediate tires for the wet track to dry tires. Hamilton couldn’t adjust to the change and as a result, Lewis crashed into the wall allowing Norris to claim the pole.
