Suarez's late strikes propel Atletico Madrid over Getafe

Getafe held a one-nil lead with around 13 minutes and stoppage time to play but Suarez had other plans. Getafe scored in the closing minutes of the initial half after an own goal by Jan Oblak. Then a big moment came in the seventy-four-minute mark when Carles Alena got sent off because of a bad foul.

Atletico saw the opening against a ten-player lineup and four minutes after the red card, Mario Hermoso gave a ball to Suarez who nailed a goal from the center of the box. Atletico’s charge didn’t stop there and at the border of stoppage time, Luis Suarez nailed a header with Sime Vrsaljko getting the assist. The two strikes guided Atletic Madrid to a two-one win.
