Sweden secures Gold in men's pole vault

Armand Duplantis finished on top in the men’s pole vault as Sweden claimed their second gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics. The United States bagged silver in the contest as Chris Nilsen finished second.

Armand sprung to a height of 6.02 m while Nilsen’s effort was calculated 5.97 m. On the other hand, Thiago Braz of Brazil lodged 5.87 m and took home a bronze medal. Braz was the gold medalist in 2016 Rio Olympics and holds the world record at 6.03 m.
