Djokovic Reveals This Year’s Roland Garros Could Have Been His Last

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, ranked sixth in the ATP world ranking, said after his defeat in the semifinals of the French Open 2025 that he may have played his last Roland Garros.

Novak Djokovic at a press conference
This could have been my last match here at Roland Garros. That's why I was a bit more emotional, even in the end. But if this was the farewell match for me at Roland Garros in my career, it was wonderful because of the atmosphere and what I received from the public. I don't know what tomorrow holds for me at this stage of my career.

In the semifinal match, the 38-year-old Serb lost to the world ranking leader, Italian Jannik Sinner with the score 4:6, 5:7, 6:7 (3:7).

It should be noted that this is the first time Jannik Sinner has reached the final of Roland Garros. In the deciding match he will play with Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (world No. 2).

Earlier it became known that Novak Djokovic became the second oldest semifinalist of Roland Garros in the Open era.
