According to Sport.onet.pl, five-time Grand Slam champion and world No. 2 Iga Swiatek may miss the entire grass-court season due to personal reasons.
The Polish star is considering skipping upcoming tournaments if she underperforms on the clay courts of the WTA 1000 events in Rome and Roland Garros in Paris.
Earlier, Swiatek's grandfather passed away just before the Madrid tournament. The player was seen attending the funeral of her close relative.
