Sinner Advances to Second Round at US Open After Beating Kopriva

Top-ranked Italian Jannik Sinner defeated Czech No. 88 Vít Kopřiva in the first round of the 2025 US Open.

The match ended 6–1, 6–1, 6–2.

The contest lasted 1 hour 40 minutes. Sinner hit seven aces, committed one double fault, and converted seven of ten break points. Kopřiva served four aces, made eight double faults, and failed to convert either of his two break-point opportunities.
