The ladies from Zimbabwe suffered a T20 series loss as the visitors from afar in Thai women wrapped up their tour on a high note. Thailand set Zimbabwe a target of 135 after winning the toss and the hosts fell 28 runs short of the target as Thailand won their second game in a row. Overall, Thailand women won four games compared to three by Zimbabwe if we take into account the ODI series as well.

Loreen Tshuma gave Zimbabwe some terrific bowling as she captured three scalps in four overs after only conceding 14 runs but the late flurry by Chanida Sutthiruang enabled Thailand to add 64 runs in the last seven overs. Chanida came to bat in the fourteenth over and ended up with a stunning 46 off 28 balls, hitting seven fours and being the highest scorer of the match. For Zimbabwe, Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano looked in sublime touch but Thipatcha Putthawong had her caught at the score of 40 as she made a quick 28 runs off 17 balls. From there, the required rate kept mounting up and Nattaya Boochatham put the screws on the chase as she clinched three wickets for just 22 runs getting rid of the dangerous Mary-Anne Musonda along the way. Once the required rate slipped past 10 in the closing overs, the Thai women didn’t commit many mistakes and sealed the series capping off a wonderful tour.
