28-year-old Unmukt Chand has left the Indian cricket scene. He has only retired as an Indian cricketer and will not be contracted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) and is going to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Chand rose to prominence after playing a 111 runs knock during the U-19 Cricket World Cup Final against Australia in 2012. Many critics slated him to be a big part of the Indian national team but he never made the cut for the national squad. Chand’s averages are 31.57, 41.33, and 22.35 in First Class, List A, and T20 cricket respectively. In total, Chand has made 9449 runs in 307 innings during his domestic career.
