A match for the title of world champion in international draughts is being held in Poland.

The current champion from Russia Tamara Tansykkuzhina and the Pole Natalia Sadovska meet. During the fourth round, a man approached the table and removed the Russian flag from the side of Tansykkuzhina. At the moment, the Russian woman is inferior to Sadovsk. The meeting will end on May 3.

Tournament officials said this was due to WADA sanctions against Russia. On December 17, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled on the dispute between the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA).

Russian athletes were banned from competing under the flag at major international competitions for two years.
