Women's Champions League: Chelsea ekes win out versus Juventus

Chelsea women garnered a two-one victory versus Juventus in the Group A clash during the Women’s Champions League. The game remained tied at the half but a strike by Pernille Harder in the second half sealed the deal. The team has now moved to the second position in Group A with Vfl Wolfsburg Ladies at the top while Juventus slid to the third position.

Erin Cuthbert nailed the first goal for Chelsea at the thirty-one-minute mark after receiving a pass from Pernille Harder. Around six minutes later in the clock, Juventus had a reply with Barbara Bonansea netting one from the center of the box after receiving the pass from Lisa Boattin.

Then, after Chelsea’s Sam Kerr shot got blocked from the center of the box, Pernille Harder rushed to the ball and bagged a goal around the center of the box. Chelsea had 62% possession control, the team attempted 12 shots with three on target. Juventus committed just one foul all game long while Chelsea had ten.
