World Superbikes: Dean Berte Vinales dies in Supersport 300 race

Fifteen-year-old Dean Berte Vinaly left the world in a horror crash during the Supersport 300 race. The youngster rode for the Vinales racing team, a team owned by his uncle and nine-time Moto GP winner Maverick Vinales. The incident occurred between multiple riders and Dean suffered severe head and thoracic injuries and ultimately, succumbed to them.

A multitude of emergency medical vehicles stormed the scene in an urgent fashion bringing the race to a half and causing the cancellation of the event for the day. This is the second death this year in the Moto GP when earlier in July Hugo Milan also succumbed to injuries suffered during a three-bike crash.
