WTA Finals: Sakkari continues unbeaten run against Iga

Greek Maria Sakkari beat Polish Iga Swiatek in the Group Stage of the WTA Finals. Sakkari won 6-2, 6-4, winning her third game this season versus Swiatek.

Both players committed a ton of double-faults with Sakkari having 5 while Iga with 6. Sakkari had a pronounced edge in terms of first-serve win % which read 96% and that became Swiatek’s undoing. Maria also had a prolific edge in terms of receiving points, having a 26-11 edge there, and took 3 out of 8 breakpoints.
