Arsenal draws breath at home as they welcome ninth-placed league rivals Liverpool in a rip-roaring clash on Sunday evening. The hosts have shut the mouths of critics with their stellar performance in the league and even the UEFA Europa where they thrashed Bodoe / Glimt and FC Zurich. Liverpool on the other hand has begun the league with a streak of disappointing performances, barely staying afloat. Regardless, it is safe to say that the coach of the Gunners Mikel Arteta must right now, be a proud man. Who wins on Sunday? Mikel Arteta or Jurgen Klopp?
Mikel Arteta must continue his magic as he has successfully picked Arsenal from their struggling form and dusted them off, propelling the team to great heights. So far, their only league loss has been against Manchester United, where they lost three goals to one (3 -1).
Despite the very long drive to Bodoe/Glimt, the team displayed a splendid Europa performance where they showed Norwegian league leaders a taste of Premier League football, grabbing three points after a three-nil (3-0) victory.
Emile Smith-Rowe remains indisposed from his groin injury and is expected on his feet sometime around December.
Eddy Nketiah was in fine form as he continued his barrage against the defense of Bodoe/Glimt who could barely contain him. A beautiful header from defender Rob Holding and a late goal by Viera Sealed the match, much to a disappointed Bodoe/Glimt who struggled with sweat and were lucky that they didn’t concede more.

Jurgen Klopp knows that he has a lot of work to do on his team this season, seeing as they lag in the domestic league. Two wins, a string of draws, and a loss leave the Reds languishing in ninth place, a position beneath the caliber of players of Anfield. The week saw Liverpool pick a well-deserved win over Rangers, who were continuously denied goals by Allison Backer’s brilliance.
Trent-Alexander Arnold showed his quality, scoring a wonderful freekick just outside the 18-yard box, seven minutes into the game. The Egyptian Mohammed Salah scored a beautiful penalty at the end of the 53rd minute after the offence by Leon King, who wrongly tripped Leon Diaz.
Liverpool has played three matches away this season and has managed to pick a meager two points; losing to Manchester United, and tying it out with Fulham and Everton respectively.
Injury-wise, Naby Keita (Muscle Injury) Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain (Hamstring strain), Arthur Melo (Muscle injury) Andy Robertson (Knee injury) Curtis Jones (Calf Injury) would be out of play as they recover from their ailments.

Arsenal knows what’s ahead of them. They are aware that Liverpool doesn’t mind taking the three points away from Emirates on Sunday. However, Arsenal is sure to prove the integrity of their mettle as they strive for their ninth league win. A safe bet would be for Arsenal to either win or draw the match. The game could go either way, but the fans would get enormous value for their tickets.
