Action will begin in the Club World Cup 2025 across the United States, with four European teams set to play on Sunday, following the opening event featuring Inter Miami and Al Ahly. Below are three selected games from the tournament with expert view, predictions and odds.

Bayern Munich vs Auckland City

Bayern Munich are one of the favourites to win this tournament, and playing against Auckland City in their opening game appears to be a free three points. Auckland City are the most successful team in the Oceania confederation, winning 11 of the last 13 OFC Champions League titles. Interestingly, they will be playing in a record 13th Club World Cup tournament. The Navy Blues are third in the New Zealand Regional League, but their performance at the topmost club competition has been below par, losing their last six matches at the FIFA Club World Cup. City have conceded 3+ goals in their previous three outing in the World Cup, even playing against teams that are not in the same rank as Bayern.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich returned to their glory days last season, after previously losing the league title to Bayer Leverkusen in the previous season. They have won two Club World Cup titles (2013 and 2020). They are one of the best offensive teams at the moment, which is why I think they will score many goals in this clash, with Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala in great form.

It is going to be an all-European clash at the Rose Bowl Stadium on Sunday between the UCL champions and the third-place finisher in Spain. Both sides are powerhouses in European football, and when two elephants fight, the grasses suffer. While I think PSG might find a way to secure the win, I will bank on goals in this clash, because Atletico will definitely find a way to get on the scoreboard. Interestingly, ten of the last 12 PSG games featured three or more goals, and six of the previous nine Atletico games had the same result. Moreover, the last two games between the two sides saw over 2.5 goals.

It is going to be a game to watch at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday, but I am not particularly interested in backing either side for victory. Palmeiras lost three of their last six games, and FC Porto ended the season third in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. The Portuguese giants were once a strong name in European football, but they have since lost their bragging rights. Regardless, I expect at least two goals in this game, and any side can compete for the win.
