St. Louis have a finishing spurt
With just a couple of months left in the 2021 regular season, the St Louis Cardinals’ chances of making the playoffs were slim to none, no more than 1 percent. But Mike Shildt’s team made an extraordinary run, winning 17 straight games between September 12 and 29. The result was a well-deserved Wild Card place. The Cardinals finished second in the NL Central, five wins behind the Milwaukee Brewers.
Adam Wainwright, an experienced pitcher, will pitch for the Dodgers. The 40-year-old pitcher has 17 wins, seven losses, and a 3.05 ERA during the regular season.
