Boston Celtics vs Orlando Magic Prediction: The Celtics rehabilitate themselves in front of their fans

Boston returned home after a two-week road trip. The leader of the West embarrassed himself in front of his fans. The Celtics are determined to destroy the Magic in the comeback, and they should be able to do it. 

Boston Celtics

The Celtics started in the middle of last season and haven't stopped much since. After losing in the Finals, Boston is targeting the title. The Celtics have become the best offensive team in the NBA, yet they seem to be hiding their defensive potential. They hide it so well that they're only ninth in the NBA's defensive rankings, even though they could be in the top 3.

The week's highlight for the Celtics was the return of Robert Williams. In the game against Orlando, he played 18 minutes on the court and scored on all four shots. Other bench players were disappointing: Malcolm Brogdon missed six three-pointers, as well as Grant Williams. Brown and Tatum combined for 57 points, but neither reached the 50% shooting mark. The fact that Boston had 12 blocked shots and worked very hard on defense overall did not help either. The final score was 109:117 in favor of the Magic. This was Boston's third loss in their last four games.

Orlando Magic

The Magic have won five straight and moved into 13th place in the Eastern Conference, and Chicago and Washington aren't far behind. The Wagner brothers used to be difficult to confuse when looking at the stats, but in some games, Moritz is not far behind Franz.

For example, Mo scored 25 points in the game with Boston and became the most prolific scorer for Orlando, hitting 9 of 12 shots. Franz missed a lot, and Paolo Banquero and Bol Bol were also far from perfect. Cole Anthony missed all 5 of his shots, but he was the most productive of Orlando's reserves. Ten players were on the Florida roster, though five more were hospitalized. Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Isaacs, Wendell Carter Jr., Gary Harris, and Chuma Okeke could have been in the starting five but are still nursing injuries.

Expert Betting Tips

Boston started well last game against Orlando: there were a lot of open shots, and the team defended tightly and forced Franz Wagner to throw draft picks. The Celtics handled the Magic's leaders but underestimated the older Wagner. On the other hand, with an offense like this season, Boston is capable of simply outscoring one of the East's outsiders. The Magic won't be able to surprise anything anymore.
