Los Angeles Clippers vs Golden State Warriors Prediction: Inconsistent teams meet here

The NBA Regular Season is moving toward the All-Star Break and the trade deadline left us with more spice. The arrival of Irving and Durant to the Western Conference has elevated the competition level in the Conference. In this game, two teams that haven’t made things spicy, the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers are going to clash here. 

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers enter the game after losing 106:119 against the Bucks despite a 20 points performance by Brandon Boston Jr. This was the second straight loss for the Clippers and they have lost four of their last seven games. Such damning windows have been holding the Clippers back and that is why they are just three games over 50% win, with 31 wins and 28 losses. They have a tough schedule and will need to be more resilient than they are currently.

The trade deadline was rather fruitful with the inclusion of Bones Hyland and Mason Plumlee, one bolsters the offense and the other helps grab rebounds, performing almost a similar role to Ivica Zubac. However, the bulk of the wins will emanate out of the duo of George and Leonard. Is this going to be another wasted season for the duo that has not shared the floor that much?

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors put on one of their best performances in the last game, defeating the Wizards 135:126 as Andrew Wiggins put up 29 points. This win was a big one for the squad which had lost four out of their last six games. Golden State has been doing well at home, winning 21 and losing eight but it isn’t at the similar rate it was before January. Not having Steph Curry hurts, but the defensive end was compromised even when the sharpshooter played.

Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson will need to step it up even more whereas Jordan Poole has been the major scoring option without Curry. The team didn’t make any significant changes during the trade deadline and needs much more out of the bench. The Warriors have 29 wins and 29 losses, which is not a record befitting of a defending champion. Let us see what they brew to end the season.
