Indiana Hoosiers vs Kent State Prediction: Is Indiana in for a big win here?

The NCAA March Madness has a prideful history and the basketball world is in a frenzy when this tournament is on. We will have to look closely at so many programs and distinguish which one will heat up more and more as we close towards the title, around three weeks from now on. In this March Madness affair, Indiana is going to take on Kent State.

Indiana

Under coach Mike Woodson, Indiana has made it to the tourney for the second time in a row. They had 22 wins and 11 losses while ending up with 12 wins and eight losses to finish second in BIG Ten MBB Conference. They had the ninth-best field goal percentage among 350+ squads in the nation and shot almost 49%. They shot 37% from the three-point line which is also impressive. They were 36th in assists with over 15 a game, which put them in the top 10% of the teams. Huge credit goes to Trayce Jackson-Davies who was dominant, averaging almost 21 points a game, 11 rebounds a game, around three blocks a game, and over four assists a game. 

Kent State

In a not-so-frequent appearance, Kent State made it to the tourney after a huge gap and thrived under the tutelage of long-term coach Rob Senderoff. They had 28 wins and six losses, finishing 2nd in MAC MBB Conference. They had a rather solid defensive showing and were in the top 10% in both three-point defense and field-goal defense. Offensively, Sincere Kerry carried the load for them, averaging around 17.5 points and almost five assists. Malique Jacobs and Miryne Thomas also averaged double-digit points and over 5 rebounds a game.

Expert Betting Tips

Indiana is a much more well-versed team than Kent State but write off the latter as your own peril. The Hoosiers will really need to put clamps upon Sincere who has been going in for big nights more often than not. However, Indiana has an Ace of their own with Trayce’s inside game and plus much more being a menace through and through. Anyway, I favor Indiana to cruise through here on the back of Trayce.
