Olympiakos vs Anadolu Efes Prediction: Betting on the home team

Not so long ago, every meeting between these teams in Istanbul turned into a battle with an unpredictable final. Alas, that Efes is gone. It can come back only if the Greeks help them a lot.

The Greeks are not having a good time so far - they are losing to teams with good defences, and they are having a hard time winning against others. They haven't won in regulation time yet, and they've only won two.

On home court, they lost 68:77 to Barcelona and beat Partizan 98:94 (85:85). If they play slowly, they concede, if fast, nothing is clear until the last seconds, except for one thing - in a fast game the Greeks will miss a lot, because they run well only one way.

Nevertheless, bookmakers strongly doubt the victory of Efes. They don't believe in the guests' performance either.

Anadolu Efes

The Turks also have two victories, including over Valencia, who haven't lost to anyone in the first three rounds. Interestingly, the Spaniards scored 73 points in Istanbul, which is, in fact, exactly the same number of points as they used to score before. Efes didn't beat Valencia, and the Turks concede an average of 88 points per game.

As for the offence, the team scored more than 80 points only against ASVEL, the Euroleague's highest-scoring team. Efes is the only team worse than them. Istanbul scored 77 points against Valencia, not by goals, but mostly by referees' whistles.

Of the five previous games not in Turkey, Efes won three, lost one in overtime with a two-point difference, and only in one, the last one, lost by six points.

We insist that a team that concedes an average of 88 points per game and specifically 84 from ASVEL has a poor defence. Olympiacos has been able to win against such teams so far, winning on the road (by chance) and by at least four points.
