As an amateur, he earned silver medals at the 2017 European Youth Championships and the 2018 Youth World Championships, as well as gold in the 2018 European Youth Championships and the 2018 Youth Olympics, making him the first boxer from the United Kingdom to do so.
Price stated in October 2019 that he had signed a promotional contract with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing and would make his professional debut the following month. Price won a four-round points decision against Joel Sanchez on the undercard of Katie Taylor's world championship attempt against Christina Linardatou on November 2, 2019 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester.
Price returned to the ring one month later, defeating Swedi Mohamed via third-round technical knockout (TKO) on December 7th at the Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.
