South Africa is coming into the game as the hosts and a dark horse to win the competition. They were shellshocked in the first game when they lost to Sri Lankan Women. The bowlers were on top and did a good job restricting Sri Lanka to only 129 runs but the batters disappointed them and were only able to score 126 runs in 20 overs meaning they do not have any points on the board. Sune Luss the Proteas captain scored 28 runs in 27 balls and was the top scorer for the team. Kapp, Ismail and Klerk all took one wicket each in the first game. The Proteas have a tough task ahead of them and this game can potentially decide their semi-finals chances.

Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus (c), Chloe Tryon, Anneke Bosch, Nadine de Klerk, Sinalo Jafta (wk), Shabnim Ismail, Ayabonga Khaka, Nonkululeko Mlaba

New Zealand put up a dismal performance in the first game of the tournament. They were beaten in all departments. While bowling first Australia scored 173 runs and in reply, they were only able to score 76 runs to lose their first game of the tournament. Amelia Kerr was the star bowler for the White Ferns bagging three wickets and scoring 21 runs. New Zealand has only lost once in their last five T20I encounters against South Africa which will give them confidence going into this crucial game. With the big Australian game out of the way, they can focus on the rest of the games and qualifying. Sophie Devine will be itching to give an explosive start to the White Ferns and get their first win of the competition.

The pitch will be on the slower side in this game and batting first will be a good option for both teams as we have seen in the Australia-New Zealand game. A big score is on the cards with a short and quick outfield. We expect New Zealand to win the game given their head-to-head record.
