The 2021/22 DPC cycle for Team Secret was extremely problematic. Puppey finished all three regional leagues outside the European majors and only got to Singapore thanks to regional qualification, in which the team finished second, losing to Entity (0-3) in the final.
For a long time, Clement tolerated his team's failures in the regional leagues, but still began to reshuffle the team in May. In May, Team Secret said goodbye to its curry SumaiL, signing Crystallis from Entity to replace him. One lineup reshuffle didn't help success in the summer regional league round, so Puppey made another reshuffle before the regional classifications at TI11. Since the Riyadh Masters 2022 tournament, the team has been playing with Zayac, who came in fourth instead of YapzOr, and with the Resolut1on triple instead of iceiceice. The transfer of the latter greatly enhanced the team's game, although Resol has not played anywhere for a long time, and in Team Secret he plays not in the usual position of the carry, but the third one.
Team Secret, led by Puppey, is one of the top favorites for this qualification and teams like Tempest should move over without too much trouble.
Tempest is a new unit in the South American region, replacing the defunct Lava team. It was a shame to lose such a squad, as the guys managed to finish fourth in the elite division of the regional DPC Spring League. Tempest received the right to play in the elite division instead of Lava, but the new team's lineup was far from the same. The only players who moved from Lava to the new squad were the first-position currier Mnz and the five-person Mjz. These Peruvian players are experienced and key to the latest team's game plan. I should also mention the Ecuadorian foursome sl4d1n-, who transferred to this squad from Infamous. The two Sebas and the three DrakenN are all newbies to me, who came from some tier-3 teams, but the main thing is that they get results.
Tempest finished the summer DPC league in South America in fourth place, and for this qualification, the Peruvians are second in the DPC points rating, behind only Infamous.
In TI11 regional qualification, the Tempest team took third place on the decisive day, experiencing serious Internet problems. In the losers' final the first map against Hokori, the full team dropped out of the server, and the opponent did not wait and simply demolished their throne without resistance. In the second map, Tempest did not even log onto the server due to the same network problems.
There will be no Internet problems in Singapore, but Tempest is one of the weakest teams in LCQ qualification, so the first game against Team Secret looks like a confrontation without a chance for the South American squad.
