The Hong Kong project Talon Esports has finally started to bring results. Top-seeded carry 23savage took the team out of the Second Division and immediately earned themselves and their teammates the first ever major and the vice-championship in the elite division of the Asian Regional DPC. Moreover, the guys played re-match with BOOM Esports for first place, plus they are the only ones in Asia to beat the champions.

But not the full Talon Esports lineup made it to the U.S. major... The fourth position support Q failed to get a visa, which led to a replacement. Xepher from T1 came to the rescue, worth noting that this is the former teammate of main star 23savage. Prior to the major, Talon Esports played a closed qualification for another international tournament in August, ESL One Malaysia 2022. Yes, the guys got themselves a slot, thanks to the rejection of some team, due to which the Asian region was awarded a second gift slot for the main event, but the team's game leaves much to be desired.

As if after the vice-championship in Asia, 23savage became unbearable for his team again, as it was a year ago in T1. The Major will show what kind of morale and readiness the Asian team is in now.

At the event, Talon Esports has yet to shine. The Asian team has a victory over Soniqs (2-0) and draws with Thunder Awaken (1-1), Team Liquid (1-1), and Fnatic (1-1), as well as three losses, which keep this squad placed last in Group A. The game is very bad for most of the opponents in this group, so it is very likely that the Hong Kong team will kiss the tournament goodbye today.

Talon Esports is a Hong Kong-based eSports organization that broke into the Dota 2 world in November 2021. It started out ambitious: the signing of Fly and Gabbi sounded formidable, but the star-studded lineup couldn't even make it out of the second division, which immediately forced the stars to leave this project. Not from the first time the team passed the open quals, in the first round and even became the fifth in the lower leagues, but the organization did not immediately shut down the project, just started to act differently, to form a different lineup, which yielded results.

The big move of the first position carry 23savage from T1 was an important aspect that helped the team take the second place in the second division at the end of the second DPC league spring round and get a ticket to the elite, where the guys are going to show us their power, if you can call it that. The roster after the spring and summer rounds has not changed, the team did not play anywhere else, and systematically prepared for the American major and qualification for TI11.

OG has an extremely hard time at the group stage. So far, the European team has two wins over RNG (2-0) and Thunder Awaken (2-0) while losing to PSG.LGD (0-2) and Outsiders (0-2), and three draws with Team Liquid (1-1), Fnatic (1-1), and Soniqs (1-1). In order to stay in the upper bracket, the Europeans have to play better than RNG who have the same number of point. Still, the current opponent is no easier.

The current OG team continues to hold the brand of an aggressive squad, and that style of play helped them win the first major of 2022 and perform well in all regional leagues, resulting in a guaranteed trip to TI11.

We should note that at the Riyadh Masters 2022 in late July, OG was playing at full strength. Finally, Misha solved all the problems. However, the OG support was not allowed to the second major again due to visa problems. In the USA, the legendary Ceb will stand in again, but could he prepare something besides his Swedish Windranger that won't surprise anyone anymore?

The teams haven’t faced off yet.

The European team really needs to win, so you can bet on OG to succeed for 1.83 at Bet365.

The teams will combine for Total Under (104.5) Frags, and you can bet on it for 1.79 at 1xbet.

Talon Esports will do Total Under (42.5) Frags for 1.90 at 22bet.
