Heroic vs MIBR Prediction: do not write MIBR off

Prediction for the match between Heroic and MIBR which will take place on August 7. Who will turn out to be stronger? Check the team conditions! Several betting options are available.

Heroic

Heroes did not earn their way into the main stage of IEM Cologne 2024, so they start their journey with Play-in. According to the tournament rules, four teams receive invites from wins at previous IEM events, and four more teams are promoted to the top of the HLTV rankings. Heroic was literally one or two spots short of the top spot at the time the invites were handed out, starting the event with a group rather than qualifying for the main stage.

A couple of extra days in Cologne could prove critical for Heroic. The team again arrived without degster, and at the beginning of the tournament Woro2k will play for the Heroes. The substitution is relatively good, in Monte the sharpshooter shot some good stats. But still it is not a full-fledged player, with whom the team could train and develop. Heroic plays more often with Standin, and that's a bad sign. This is the lack of stable training, preparation, every LAN game is a real stress. At BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024 Heroic took third place in Group A, losing to Complexity without a fight.

The organisation announced that Abdul will only miss the opening matches for now, he won't be at the Play-in for sure. With Woro2k it is possible to go through to the main stage, the individual level of the Ukrainian player is not bad, he can pull somewhere and take a load off the shoulders of NertZ. It is difficult to judge about further prospects, we will see after the first matches.

MIBR

MIBR have already passed their peak strength, returning to their former positions. The Brazilian five players are again not the best in South America, again suffering defeats within the region and not looking so powerful in international competitions. In Cologne, MIBR can qualify for the main stage, but will very likely do so via the lower Play-in net.

The team can be looked at in terms of performance in qualifying and at Esports World Cup 2024. MIBR is now consistently weaker than paIN Gaming and Imperial Esports in qualifying. Rivals took away from the team exit tickets to IEM Rio and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade. The tournament in Riyadh was a disaster - crushing defeats from Team Spirit and The MongolZ. Losing to the former with a defeat is not shameful, but winning just two rounds against the Mongols is a failure. The Brazilians are out of shape in all respects, and as in the beginning of 2024, they may take a very long time to reach their conditioning.

At the last Dacha in Belgrade, MIBR met Heroic twice. Both times the Heroes were stronger, but the Brazilians were in shape and gave a serious fight. Now the opponent will play a little worse, and MIBR is going through a slump.

Heroic will look better on the server on individual performance. But the substitution factor can still affect the game of Heroes. So let's not bury MIBR - maybe in Cologne the Brazilians will offer a decent resistance.
