On Wednesday, June 16, the next LPL Summer 2021 group stage match will take place between Victory Five and Team WE. Will the V5 surprise us?
LPL Summer 2021 is a professional Chinese cybersports league for League of Legends. Held for the ninth time in its history, the summer part of the tournament included competitions among The top 10 teams that will advance to the playoffs, where the prize money ($656,383) and the right to represent the region at the World Championship 2021 will be awarded.
Victory Five: Can they make it to the playoffs this time?
VF appeared in the elite division of the Chinese LoL scene in 2019. The team did not show high results and floundered somewhere at the bottom of the standings for three seasons in a row, not even qualifying for the majors.
But that all changed in the summer of 2020, when suddenly the Victory Five guys were in fifth place in the standings of the latest Chinese championship. From last place in the spring of 2020, when the team lost all 16 games, in the summer of 2020, the V5 were already shooting up and were among the five strongest teams in their region.

Team WE: it's important to get off to a good start in the group stage
Team WE were once one of the strongest teams in China. Winning the LPL Spring 2017, bronze at the Mid-Season Invitational 2017 and World Championship 2017, but as often happens, after big victories, if an organization doesn't have a lot of money, the best players leave the team and the team's results plummet. That's what happened to Team WE, but it looks like it's time to regain some of that lost glory.
The spring of 2021 did not end as planned for the team. Yes, the guys made the playoffs, but they lost without a chance in the first round to Suning (0-3), which was a big surprise.
The only change in the squad is the arrival of midfielder Mole, just from the V5 team. So far the start of the summer tournament is going well for the guys, they have two wins in two meetings held. Suning (2-1) and ThunderTalk Gaming (2-0) were defeated.
