USA Grand Prix Prediction: Ferrari's Way Ahead

In the Japanese Grand Prix Max Verstappen won, thanks to which he became the champion of the current F1 season ahead of schedule. Sergio Perez crossed the checkered flag second and Leclerc third. What does F1 have in store for us this weekend?

Max Verstappen's victory in the Japanese Grand Prix led him to the championship, which the driver only learned from the press conference journalists. That was pretty funny, considering it's only his second F1 victory. It tells us that the pilot does not count his achievements and enjoys the process. In Japan, he crossed the finish line 27 seconds faster than Sergio Perez.

We can already summarize the current season's results, although there are still four races, including the U.S. Grand Prix. We have witnessed a completely different confrontation between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. Yes, the Monegasque lost, but in the first half, he fought decently. In the new season, he will try to do everything so that Verstappen is not given a victory so quickly. Also, do not forget about the merits of Sergio Perez, who showed himself perfectly. On the eve of the coming weekend, he is even ahead of Leclair in the individual standings and he is 32 years old.

In the Constructors' Championship, everything is also quite unequivocal. Red Bull leads with a huge gap. Currently, the Bulls have 619 points, 165 more than the second team Ferrari, and 232 more than the third, Mercedes.

In the first free practice, Sainz was the fastest. He did his best lap in 1:36.857. In the second practice lap, however, Leclerc made his presence felt. He was ahead of his team-mate's 1:36.810. Verstappen's results leave much to be desired. The Red Bull team experimented a bit with the car, so his first result was 1:37.081, and his second was 1:39.575. 

The first training session went quite well. We experimented with the car in some ways and were pleased with the result. In the first session, we tried to do our best, because in the second training session we had to test the 2023 tires. I’ve worked with a C1 line-up that doesn’t suit the track very well. It was difficult to achieve grip, but at least we completed the entire test program. If we talk about Saturday, then the speed on the long series raises questions, since we were not able to assess it in the second training session. On Thursday, I walked a circle around the track to look at the bumps in those sections where the asphalt was shifted. Besides, the walk came in handy after all the steaks I ate

I think the program of this workout was the most intense I have ever done. I drove 37 laps, worked with different rubber, including the experienced samples of tires, which we tested. In general, the day is not bad, the impressions are positive, and since the second session we drove so many laps, we were able to make up for missing the first session. If we talk about the quality of the track, in my opinion, it was better than it was before, although it can be done even flatter. But the sensations of piloting immediately were not bad, and that's a good sign. Although, of course, as always, on Saturday we have to make another big step forward, but I hope that we can work well tomorrow.

Max Verstappen will not stop there. In addition to the titles, he clearly plans to break many records set by legendary drivers. In the upcoming weekend he is the clear favorite, and the odds on his victory is not so sweet, which is why we will give preference to Leclerc.
