Benin vs Libya Prediction: Can Libya hold again

Benin will host Libya in the African Cup of Nations Qualification at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny. Failing to start their qualifier with a win, the two teams will come into this encounter hoping to take a positive result in this game. Below, I will preview this game and make predictions. 

Benin

Benin traveled to Uyo in their African Cup of Nations qualifier opener and lost 3-0 to Nigeria. In that game, Ademola Lookman scored twice, putting his nation in the lead just a minute before the break while scoring the last match of the day. However, Victor Osimhen was also on target, just six minutes from the bench. However, in both encounters, this team won two of their last matches, Rwanda and Nigeria. Heading into this game, the home team scored five goals while conceding seven.  

Libya

Libya held Libya to a draw in the first game of their qualifier and will hope to do better in this one. In that encounter, Libya took the lead through Subhi Al Dhawi’s strike in the 16th minute. However, a 47th-minute strike by Innocent Nshuti denied Libya maximum points in that game, and will hope to get a win in this one. In their last matches, however, Libya had two wins against Mauritius and Botswana. The visiting nation lost to Cape Verde in that run while settling for a 1-1 draw with Togo.

Benin should be able to win this game regardless, but it will be tough. The two teams formed into this game are slightly the same, but Benin have impressed most, looking at the teams they have played. Libya seem to be in good form offensively lately, and I expect them to net in this game, too.
