Zamalek SC vs CR Belouizdad Prediction: Both sides will be pleased with a point apiece

Welcome to the 2022/2023 edition of the CAF Champions League, where Zamalek SC will host Algerian giant CR Belouizdad at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday. CR Belouizdad were Algerian champions last season with seventy points in thirty-four games. They did fail to impress in the CAF tournament last season, but hopefully, they will go far this season.

They have strengthened their squad aggressively this season and hope to secure both the domestic league and the CAF championship.

CR Belouizdad have had a great start in the Algerian Ligue One this season, winning eleven while sharing the spoils four times. They remain unbeaten with eight points ahead of second-placed CS Constantine.

Zamalek have not won their opening game in the last two seasons; they opened the group stage with a goalless draw at home against Algerian side MC Alger in 2021. In 2022, they commenced the group stage with a 2-2 stalemate against Petro Atletico of Angola in Cairo. They head here with one victory over the last seven matches. CR Belouizdad have been excellent this season and are unbeaten in their last fifteen games in the league. However, they have not played in a long time, which might slightly affect their performance here.
