La Equidad pulled off an underdog performance and grabbed a point off league leaders Rionegro Aguilas. Rionegro Águilas took the lead in the 34th minute through an unexpected fashion as Jorge Ramos from La Equidad turned the ball into his own net. La Equidad responded swiftly and equalized three minutes later. Andres Correa whipped in a cross into the box and Brayan Fernandez met it with a header and thumped it into the bottom right corner. Both sides tried to find a winner throughout the rest of the game but none came. It's interesting to note that La Equidad held 57% of the possession and attempted 20 shots while Rionegro Aguilas had just seven shots.
