Brazil vs Senegal: Prediction for the Match on November 15, 2025

Both Brazil and Senegal will be going to the World Cup next summer. As part of their preparations for the finals, they will play a high-profile friendly at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium on Saturday. This exciting match kicks off Brazil's November international break. Both teams have already made it to the 2026 World Cup, so this game is a chance for them to try out new things before the tournament in the US, Mexico, and Canada. Brazil enters as the favorite, but Senegal has shown they can surprise anyone, especially after their impressive 3-1 win over England in June.

Brazil: W-W-L-W-L

Carlo Ancelotti has been Brazil's head coach since May and has led the team in six games. In that time, Brazil has won three, drawn one, and lost two. They scored 11 goals and kept four clean sheets. In June, Brazil won 1-0 at home against Paraguay, keeping their impressive streak of qualifying for every FIFA World Cup (23 total). Ancelotti's goal is to help Brazil win their sixth World Cup title next summer in the US, Canada, and Mexico. However, Brazil’s World Cup qualification campaign wasn’t smooth. They played 20 games against South American teams and won eight, lost six, and drew four. Most of these games were under former coach Dorival Junior. Their campaign ended badly when they lost 1-0 to Bolivia in September, which was a big surprise. They finished fifth in the standings, 10 points behind Argentina. Brazil is ranked seventh in the world, and their recent trip to Asia went well and badly. They won 5-0 against South Korea but then lost 3-2 to Japan, despite leading by two goals at halftime. Ancelotti will want to avoid another surprise loss and is focused on Brazil’s first-ever win over Senegal this weekend. Brazil has drawn once and lost once in their previous two friendly matches against Senegal.

Senegal: D-W-W-W-W

Senegal is very sure of itself going into this game. They finished top of their World Cup qualifying group in Africa, unbeaten in ten matches with seven wins. They did so well that they made it to their third World Cup in a row, finishing two points ahead of DR Congo. The Lions of Teranga have been playing very well, winning their last five games and keeping four clean sheets. They’ve also scored 14 goals in their last four matches.  Senegal will think they can beat Brazil with this kind of momentum. Forward Assane Diao returns to the squad after missing October’s break, and Mamadou Sarr and Ibrahim Mbaye have earned their first senior call-ups. Sadio Mané, who scored four goals during qualifying, will lead the attack. Nicolas Jackson is also trying to get a starting spot behind him. Senegal is one of the few teams that has never lost to Brazil, though they’ve only met twice. In 2019, they drew 1-1 in Singapore, and in 2023, they won 4-2 in Lisbon. Ranked 18th in the world, Senegal won’t fear facing Brazil, especially after going unbeaten in qualifying and defeating England 3-1 in a friendly in June.

Casemiro is an injury doubt for this game. Henrique and Wesley, who play as full-backs, could get their fourth cap for the national team in this game.

Krepin Diatta was not called up to the squad due to an eye injury.

Brazil predicted lineup (4-3-3): Ederson (GK), Caio Henrique, Gabriel Magalhaes, Eder Militao, Wesley; Bruno Guimaraes, Andrey Santos; Vinicius Junior, Matheus Cunha, Rodrygo, Estevao

Senegal predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Edouard Mendy (GK), Malick Diouf, Kalidou Koulibaly, Moussa Niakhate, Antoine Mendy; Idrissa Gueye, Pape Matar Sarr; Iliman Ndiaye, Sadio Mane, Ismaila Sarr, Nicolas Jackson

Brazil and Senegal have faced each other twice, both in international friendlies. Their first meeting was in October 2019 in Singapore, ending in a 1-1 draw. The most recent match took place in Lisbon, where Senegal won 4-2. Sadio Mané scored two goals, and Marquinhos scored one for Brazil and one for Senegal.

  • Estevao, The young winger has been scoring goals for Chelsea this season and recently scored two goals for Brazil against South Korea. He'll try to get a spot in the starting eleven before the World Cup.
  • Mané may not be in the European spotlight anymore, but he is still a key player for Senegal. He scored three goals in his last two international matches.
  • Senegal is on a five-match unbeaten run, while Brazil has won three of their last five games. However, the Selecao has never beaten the Lions of Teranga.
  • Senegal has won four games in a row. Four of their last 10 games ended in draws. In contrast, Brazil has only won two of their last 10 away matches and has never defeated Senegal in their previous meetings. Senegal is unbeaten in regulation time in their last 10 games.
  • In three of Brazil's last four games, there were more than 2.5 goals. Brazil and Senegal's last game ended with six goals. In each of Senegal's last three games, there were four or more goals.

Brazil may have a long history in world football, but they haven't been able to show it against Senegal. Senegal won one of their two previous matches, and the other ended in a tie. Brazil has struggled in away matches, so Senegal will go into this game confident they can compete. In their last visit to London, Senegal came away with a win.
