Malawi vs Burkina Faso Prediction: Les Etalons will end their qualifier with a big win

Bingu National Stadium will host round six of the AFCON qualifying encounter between Malawi and Burkina Faso. The two teams could not secure a win in their last encounter. How will this game unfold?

Malawi picked a goalless draw against Burundi the previous time out and will hope for a win this time. In that encounter, Malawi had 47 per cent of the possession and attempted seven shots with zero on targets. However, Malawi did not win a game in this qualifier, losing their first four games against Burundi, Burkina Faso, and Senegal. Seated bottom spot of the Group L AFCON qualifying standings, Malawi scored three goals and conceded eleven in five matches. 

Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso suffered their first defeat in this qualifier the previous week against Senegal and will look to respond well. In that encounter, Burkina Faso held their opponent goalless until the 83rd minute, with Habib Diarra netting for Senegal. In the meantime, prior encounters to that defeat saw Burkina Faso defeat Burundi twice and pull off a 3-1 win over Malawi. With ten points, Burkina Faso sit second, scoring ten goals and conceding four. 

Expert Betting Tips

Burkina Faso will not drop points in this game based on how well they have played and their quality on both ends of the field. While Malawi avoided a defeat against Burundi the previous week, I still do not see them having a chance, especially with zero victory in recent matches. This should be a tight encounter, as Malawi will work hard to secure a win, at least in this qualifier. Bet on Burkina Faso, as I trust their playing pattern and confidence in both ends of the field. Also, Malawi's performance in defence is below par, and while Burkina Faso have the best offensive line, I am betting they will score twice at the end of full-time.
